Portwine Guesthouse is in South Africa, to be precise in the southern part of the country, called the Cape Region. If you are visiting this part of South Africa, you will most likely travel along the coast from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth to explore the Gardenroute. But what would a visit of this area be without turning inland from George to pass the famous ostrich capital Oudtshoorn, where one can visit ostrich farms, the Cango Caves etc. Now you are nearly there! From Oudtshoorn it is a mere 30 min.(R62) drive to get to Calitzdorp along the Scenic Route (distance to Cape Town: km 350, distance to Port Elizabeth: km 350) and of course the Portwine Guesthouse!
